Pages and media
Capture a page
Save what's on screen, a region you select, or the whole page as a PNG or JPEG.
This page is a first draft. It may change before the public beta.
Recording planned
Choose Capture Area…, drag a selection over a chart, nudge it with the arrow keys, switch to JPEG and save.
Choose File → Capture Visible Area… or Capture Area…, or find them in the command bar. Neither has a default key; you can add one in Settings → Shortcuts.
What you can capture
| Mode | What you get |
|---|---|
| Viewport | What's visible in the page right now |
| Region | Part of the page. Arx freezes the page; drag, move or resize the selection, or set X, Y, width and height with the fields and arrow keys. |
| Full Document | The whole page, top to bottom |
Save it
A preview shows the result. Pick PNG, or JPEG with a quality setting (JPEG gets a white background), then Save Image… and Reveal in Finder. Capture Again starts over.
There's no annotation, and captures aren't copied to the clipboard.
