Profiles, links and sync
Air Traffic Control
Rules for links that open from other apps. Match a host, a path or a local port, then send it to a space, a profile, or Little Arx.
This page is a first draft. It may change before the public beta.
When you click a link in another app, Air Traffic Control decides where it opens. Set it up in Settings → Links → Air Traffic Control…
Add a rule: meet.google.com goes to Little Arx in the current space. Test it with the tester, then click a Meet link in Calendar.
Rules
Rules are checked in order, and the first enabled rule that matches wins. A rule has:
| Field | How it matches |
|---|---|
| Name | For you |
| Host | Ignores case and supports international domains |
| Include subdomains | Matches only at a dot, so example.com covers docs.example.com but not myexample.com |
| Scheme | HTTP or HTTPS, HTTP only, or HTTPS only |
| Port | Optional. Empty means 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS. |
| Path prefix | Optional, case-sensitive and encoded: /docs also matches /docs2 |
Query strings and fragments aren't matched.
Destinations
A destination combines where: the current space, a profile's default space, or a specific space, with how: the main window or Little Arx.
Some examples:
| Match | Opens in |
|---|---|
github.com/capturecontext | Work, main window |
*.figma.com | Design profile's default space, main window |
meet.google.com | Current space, Little Arx |
localhost:3000 | Side project, main window |
Profile Default Spaces sets which space counts as each profile's default.
When no rule matches
When No Rule Matches picks a destination for everything else, or Ask for a Destination to choose each time. Out of the box, unmatched links open in Little Arx in the current space.
Test and fix
- The tester shows which rule wins for a URL, and where it would open, without opening it.
- Route Current URL in the Tabs menu runs the current page through your rules, with a review sheet.
- If a destination fails, for example a space you deleted, the link waits in Incoming Links with retry, override, copy and cancel.
Air Traffic Control only applies to links from other apps and to Route Current URL, not to links you click inside Arx, redirects or Peek.
