Tabs and windows
Tab Archive
Closed tabs go to the archive, searchable per profile, so you can close freely and bring anything back.
This page is a first draft. It may change before the public beta.
When you close an ordinary open tab, it goes to the Tab Archive instead of disappearing. Close freely; anything can come back.
Close three tabs, open the Tab Archive from the Library, search for one, and restore it into a different space.
What goes in
- Open tabs you close with ⌘W.
- Archive Selected Tab and Archive All Tabs in This Space, or Clear above your open tabs in the sidebar.
Private windows, Little Arx, pinned tabs and Favorites being reset, and tabs inside a deleted folder don't go into the archive. Entries don't expire.
Bring tabs back
- ⇧⌘T reopens the last closed tab.
- The Tab Archive (Library → Archive, or the Archive menu) lists everything, newest first, with a search. Choose Restore, Restore This Group, or Restore To another space. Restoring into another profile asks first.
A restored tab brings back its address and title, not its back-and-forward history or what was on the page.
Clean up
Delete Selected removes entries, and Clear This Profile's Archive empties it. Each profile has its own archive.
